Formed in 2011 by four brothers who decided to combine their musical talents/interests, The Yaqubi Bros are a rock n’ roll band from Toronto, Canada. Their fundamental rock roots offer a strong foundation to the pop-driven hooks used in their originals. The Yaqubi Bros are very passionate about playing their music live and are constantly on the search for new fans and gigs across the country.

Formed in 2011 by four brothers who decided to combine their musical talents/interests, The Yaqubi Bros are a progressive-alternative-psychedelic/space rock band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Inspired by a multitude of bands including The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Radiohead, Muse, Rage Against The Machine and Greenday, their music has been described by fans as the perfect blend of classic rock with a modern feel.

Every song consists of classic guitar work, backed by heavy and upbeat drum/bass rhythms, topped with slick synth progressions to give it the edge. Vocal work is amazingly dynamic, making use of several techniques ranging from high falsettos, to mid-high range chest voice. Given that most of the song writing is done collectively, each band member's personal influences clearly come through in every composition.

The music in general is very dynamic, and each track is usually more than a mere 3 minutes. The band prides itself in experimenting with different time signatures, styles, EQs, moods, etc. on the album as well as on each individual track. Lyrically, the band takes an intellectual approach creating a neat balance between the meaning and the mood of the song.
