Хорошо составленный сборник, имеющий целью показать все достижения издавшей его фирмы грамзаписи, в наше время весит немало – и так и норовит перейти в понятное меломану со стажем состояние, именуемое культовым сборником. А подобный толковый блюзовый сборник весит еще больше. К счастью, руководство фирмы Alligator Records в лице президента Брюса Айглауэра и вице-президента Боба ДеПуха – не просто профессионалы, но и меломаны, нисколько не растерявшие страсти к предмету своего бизнеса.
А раз так, то на подобные "хвастливые" сборники ими отбирается только самый динамичный и выигрышно звучащий материал, чему лишний раз доказательством – “Last Dirty Deal” Коко Мотойи и “Hound Dog Man” Лонни Мэка и Стиви Рэя Воэна с "…Crucial Rockin’ Blues”. Никаких нереализованных или занудных композиций - задача подобных CD и заключается в том, чтобы увлечь пока еще особо не заинтересованного в продукции фирмы покупателя и, глядишь, превратить его в поклонника собственных артистов – а там, естественно, и в покупателя их альбомов.
Попасть под чары артистов Alligator теперь очень просто – с выходом представленных здесь сборников общее число этих артефактов серии "Crucial Blues” возросло до девяти.
