Combining elements from Pop, Funk, Soul and Fusion she creates Christmas Jazz at it´s best. Since more than 3 decades Barbara Dennerlein is one of the top stars of the nternational Jazz scene.
Several times the prestigous Down Beat Magazine voted her as “instrumentalist of the year”. She received numerous Jazz Awards and in 2013 she was honoured to become a member of the “Hammond Hall Of Fame”.
Now Barbara Dennerlein presents a soulful selection of Christmas songs played on the famous Hammond B3. Ten fingers, two feet, one instrument.

Barbara Dennerlein (born 25 September 1964 in Munich, Germany) is a hard bop, post-bop, and jazz Hammond B3 player, synthesist, and organist.
At age 15, she played in a jazz club for the first time. When leading her own bands, Dennerlein was often the youngest musician in the group, and she learned to cooperate with more experienced musicians. Her local reputation as the "Organ tornado from Munich" spread after her first TV appearances in 1982.
When her third LP Bebab was issued, Dennerlein established her own record label in 1985. She received two German Record Critics' awards for self-produced albums. Later, she made three recordings for Enja Records and three for Verve Records. On these recordings she worked with Ray Anderson, Randy Brecker, Dennis Chambers, Roy Hargrove, Mitch Watkins, and Jeff 'Tain' Watts.
Her compositions vary from traditional blues schemes, romantic, melancholic ballads to tempo driven compositions with elements of swing, bebop, funk and Latin rhythms.

Just in time to dispel the winter blues, Barbara Dennerlein returns this November with her sensational new album Christmas Soul. The award winning Jazz organist has joined forces with an all-star band - featuring the exciting talent of Zara McFarlane on vocals - to bring a warming touch of Jazz, Soul, and Fusion to the season’s festivities.
An artist of stunning dexterity and verve, Barbara Dennerlien has wowed audiences with her matchless musicianship for three decades. Her deft command the famous Hammond B3 organ has seen her inducted into the illustrious “Hammond Hall Of Fame”, while her improvisational flair has earned her the title of Down Beat Magazine’s ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ on several occasions.
