(Streetpunk) Barstool Hooligans "Cheap Shots" - 2004, MP3 , 192 kbps

The first piece of press on the Barstool Hooligans stated "when Barstool Hooligans play, every hour is happy even if it's not technically happy hour". This couldn't be more true. They can play Irish Anthems as dark as a Guinness or Traditional Hymns as clear as a shot of vodka, and hit every style and drink in between. This is all bound together with their humorous lyrics about drunken debauchery, the working man's plight, and self-deprpeciating confessionals.
The boys have finished a full length CD at Watchmen Studios. Fifteen tracks of relentless rock, certain to keep the tap open.
When they were playing in other bands, Jon, Trond, and Brian would drink togther while playing on the same bill. The idea began here, but didn't come forth until the boys found themselves coincidentally without bands in the same bar. With just enough time to get a full set together by St. Patrick's Day, they set to work.
And work they did, getting together a 7 song demo of traditional and additional material. With good luck of quick press, word of mouth, and a ton of t-shirt sales, they made enough to record another 8 songs for a full length CD, "Cheap Shots" which they plan to release on their one year anniversary.
But this is not all though, the Barstool Hooligans keep writing and arranging songs faster than the pressing plants can put this first CD out.
Looking at their website, you can see the drunken craziness of their inuagural St. Patrick's Day show. The craziness isn't just on holiday's though, the Beer Mug, Calamari's, and North East's The Jammin' Vine are places you can see the Hooligans in all of thier glory. This past September's wine festival showed the most surprising local support these boy's have seen yet!

Of course, the boys would be nothing without the sing along chorus of the people who come to see them play. Beers are in the air for these boys and the happy hour doesn't seem to stop.
